Current race car

// The SPR21e

10 years after our first electric race car, SPR11 “Tessy”, we are now building another vehicle which will have an electric drive. The team relies on four wheel hub motors from AMK, which are powered by a 600 V accumulator. In addition, a full carbon monocoque is being developed and installed for the first time.

Season 2020

// Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, unfortunately no Formula Student events took place in 2020. Therefore, we are even more excited to compete with our SPR21e in the upcoming season!

// Our experiences and successes of the last season 2019

FSEast – Formula Student East

// Holly goes East

Since the timing of the event in Hungary was unsuitable for most of the team members, only twelve of us were able to attend. Despite the small team, the event was a success for us.

Due to our good preparation, the scrutineering went without any problems. The car drove very good lap times and also the acceleration event went well. The statics, however, still left room for improvement.

Unfortunately we had problems with the wiring of the steering wheel, which kept us from participating the skidpad discipline. A mistake at the ETC also cost us time in the AutoX. The Endurance was promising, but due to a sudden loss of oil we were unable to finish the race.

FSG – Formula Student Germany

// Holly goes Germany

Our biggest event this season, the Formula Student Germany, took place in Hockenheim from August 5th to 11th.

Unfortunately, we could not finish the scrutineering in time, so we missed the skidpad. In the acceleration race we were able to set four good times. In the static disciplines we could convince the judges of our concept and received positive feedback. The Autocross brought us a passable placement for the Endurance, which we unfortunately could not finish due to shifting problems.

All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable event, which we enjoyed very much and at the same time aroused our ambition for the event in Spain.

FSS – Formula Student Spain

// Holly goes Spain

The Formula Student Spain event at the Circuit de Catalunya was our final event in 2019.

We finished our scrutineering in time and achieved a solid result in the skidpad discipline. For the acceleration race we set a best time of 4.41 seconds. Unfortunately the time of the autocross discipline was not satisfying due to some fallen cones and problems with our engine. Luckily we were able to fix these problems in time for the Endurance. Our first driver drove a best time of 65 seconds. At the driver change all looked promising at first, but then the disappointment: The SPR19 had to be taken off the track after 14/20 laps. As it turned out, the glue of an important sensor had come loose. Despite this unpleasant end we are proud of our Holly and were able to finish the season with other teams.
