The final and fourth event we would like to look back on took place at the Varano de’ Melegari Circuit in Italy 🇮🇹. We passed all technical inspections on the first attempt and managed to collect all the stickers within just 48 hours!
Acceleration, skidpad, and autocross, which all happened in one day, went smoothly despite the time pressure. During the endurance on the last day of the event, there was a sense of déjà vu reminiscent of Hockenheim: rain tires had to be fitted shortly before the start as the storm began 🌧️. After seven laps in heavy rain, Sandy came to a standstill due to a loose connection in the battery.
Nevertheless, the team’s disappointment was short-lived, as we can look back on an extremely successful season. The Endurance was completed twice, and internal team records were broken in several disciplines. This means that we not only achieved our goal for the season, but even exceeded it 🏅!
